CHAPTER ONE

As the story begins, the teacher is showing the class how to trace their hands to make a turkey.  The class is not paying very much attention as Richard even eats some of his lunch.  We find out that Matthew is the stinky kid who wets the bed.

We are leaving our basal reader for a bit to enjoy a fun novel.  We will be reading The Candy Corn
Contest by Patricia Reilly Giff.  We have a limited number of books so they will not be coming home with your student.  Please check our blog for chapter summaries and information.  Thanks!

4th graders stepped back in time this week. They made butter, "washed" clothes in a tub with a washboard, and played with feathers and hula hoops!
